Step by Step Instructions
Lay the foam wreath onto the green felt. Then take the black felt pen and lightly trace the outside of the wreath. Then take the felt pen and lightly trace the inside of the wreath with the black pen on the green felt. Taking the sewing sheers, start cut the outline you traced of the outside of the wreath from the green felt fabric. In order to cut out the center of the wreath outlined on the fabric, fold the material in half and in the center make a one inch cut. Then take the scissors and stick them through the incision and start cutting around the inner outline of the wreath on the fabric. Take the green felt outline of the wreath after it has been completely cut out and lay it on the back of the foam wreath. This will help you determine if you cut the outline correctly. If it lines up perfectly on the back, then it has been cut correctly and you can proceed on. If it doesn't not line up correctly try making another outline on a new piece of felt and cut it out again. This outline will be used as the backing of the wreath. Make sure it doesn't overlap the edges of the foam wreath. Next get the hot glue gun and make a thin line around the edge of the felt wreath cut out. Work quickly so the glue doesn't dry. After you have outlined the outer edge, take the glue gun and make thin lines filling in the empty space on the rest of the backing completely. If you zigzag the glue in the empty areas, you will be able to cover more space quickly. Just remember to use thin lines so that the wreath lays flush and there won't be excessive glue spilling out of the edges. Now that the backing has glue, quickly place it on the back of the foam wreath and pull the fabric out to all the edges until the backing is flush with the foam. Work quickly so that the glue doesn't dry. Let the backing dry for about 20 minutes. Turn the wreath over so the backing is laying on the table and the foam side is facing you. Get the garland and the floral pins. Take the garland and working on the inside of the foam wreath, use the floral pins to fasten the garland to the inside of the wreath. Place a pin in the garland every 5 inches and then after you have pressed it in, push the top of the pin down so it is laying flush on the garland. When you bring the garland full circle to the first piece you pinned in, overlap the garland and then use the wire cutters to cut off the access. Use a floral pin to fasten the last of the garland into the inner part of the foam wreath. Use the excess garland and start fastening it to the outer side of the wreath with the floral pins. Continue placing the floral pins every 5 inches into the wreath to fasten the garland on. When you have come full circle with it, again overlap a little and cut the access with the wire cutters. Take a floral pin and fasten the last piece to the wreath. Using the rest of the garland, go around the outer edge that doesn't have garland on it to create a double affect. Continue until you have come full circle and then use the floral pin to fasten it in. Cut the garland with the wire cutters and continue to circle the wreath including the front of the wreath until all the white of the foam is covered in green garland. Finally take out the balls you want to use for your wreath and lay them on your work area for easy access. Then before gluing the balls on, play around with them by placing them on the face of the wreath in various patterns. Take your time and check how the design you created looks and keep going until you find a design you like. You might want to mix the colors and the sizes while designing. Once you settle on a design take the hot glue gone and put glue on the balls one by one and stick them in the pattern you came up with.Making this wreath is super easy and with very minimum assembly or clean up. It gives a more personal feeling to your Christmas holiday. Another bonus it will give you a unique one of a kind decoration.
